Hello and a warm(er than this weather) welcome to my own little hub of insight and discussion on industry-related topics, trends and challenges.
As a recent Graduate, I find myself climbing a 'wet-paint' wall of job searching which is proving to be a lot harder than I had anticipated. So to keep my spirits high and brain working, I have decided to channel my thirst for knowledge and desire to stay updated on the industry into producing this blog. Besides my adoration for the design industry, I am also a true literature freak; all words and any words I love to read and write, so here we are.
If you've made it this far, I send you bucket loads of gratitude for giving me your time, and I hope that you find something that interests, inspires or informs you. Now, let's get into it!
Who am I, what do I do, why am I here? Well, I'm not sure many of you are really going to care about the particulars of my existence, but as this is my first post, it would be rude of me to not introduce myself...
So hello, I am Lucy or Luce (whichever you prefer), a 23 year old, Berkshire-born, budding Interior Architect. I won't fill up your time with tittle tattle details about my life - let's keep it semi-professional - because all you really need to know is that I'm here for the people.
My desire to work within the Built Environment comes from my early observation that a well-designed space can change everything, from function to mood, and I find that to be a beautiful sort of power. The influence that our surroundings have on us, both consciously and subconsciously is an experience we can all relate to. From Influencer's and their 'insta-worthy' homes to the construction of community spaces and hostels, all of us rely on our environments as a places of restoration, safety and connection. So when I say I'm here for the people, I mean that my true ambition is to work for change, and that user-centred design is my main principle.
I'll keep this one short because all I needed was your attention. There is so much more to come, so much more for us to talk about and so much more to learn. Please stay with me on this journey, pray for a successful job application and open yourself up to the world of Design. You don't have to be a Designer to appreciate the beauty of the world we live in, and its great potential.
Speak soon,

P.S. This site is the home of my online portfolio...go take a look (;
